"Clean venue, relatively easy to find, very helpful staff! They arranged a taxi for us as soon as we arrived, told us how much it would cost (€10, which is the cost for the shuttle but much faster!!) and we appreciated catching an extra 30min sleep. The room was fine if a bit too warm despite the aircon being on. There's no restaurant but there are microwaves and tables in the patio. Also the walls are thin so do take earplugs! All in all you get good value for money - we got a cheap double room to sleep in before an early flight and a quick, painless taxi journey for less than £50 total."

"Tired from a flight from SRI lANKA, late in the evening...we hoped all would be well at the hotel with no delays. It was, swift and efficient reception [by trainee Danielle!] and functional room on the 10th floor, nice and quiet. Best thing in this hotel...the breakfast...probably the best I've had in a British hotel overseen by the efficient Carol! This is the third Holiday Inn I have stayed at in diverse places such as New Delhi, Milton Keynes and Hull! It stands out as one of the best, especially in value for money. Well done to the lovely staff."

"Booked for 1 night before flying out on holiday. Fab stay. Staff excellent really helpful polite and efficient. Rooms good and bed very comfortable. Breakfast choice excellent and tasty. Easy to get to the airport well worth every penny and a relaxing way to start a holiday. "
Best for passengers using Terminals 2 or 3

"The Hoppa #8 bus travels from airport to Mercure Hotel. However, if your morning flight departs from Terminal 5, you will have to order a taxi to get you there as Hoppa only travels between hotel and Terminals 2 and 3. Taxi fare is 16 pounds Sterling. I thought hotel good value for money. Room small but well maintained, clean Staff did not give me wakeup call as requested."

"We used the hotel for one night stay before an early flight from Heathrow. It was very convenient to be able to park the car and relax. The room was in the quiet zone and it was clean and comfortable. We had an excellent evening meal in the restaurant and would certainly recommend this hotel to friends and family. It was easy to get the Hopper bus back to the hotel to collect our car on our return from our holiday."
